Projects
Thank you for joining us during Servathon! You and thousands of other volunteers will be providing critical volunteer services at nonprofits and schools in the region — helping to make our community a great place for all who live here!
We have reached out to nonprofits and schools to identify their needs and have developed volunteer projects that will be most helpful to them. Check back to learn more about specific projects for Servathon. Examples of projects in previous years include:
- building a playground at a Boys and Girls Club in northern Virginia;
- beautifying the grounds between the World War II and Korean War Memorials on the National Mall;
- painting schools around the region;
- landscaping the C&O Canal;
- cleaning and collecting debris along the Anacostia River shoreline; and
- helping CentroNia prepare for its annual community festival.
Project selection will begin in early April. We will notify you by email that project selection is open.
Projects listed as “Family Friendly” are open to children and young as 12 years of age. For more information about age restrictions, go to Frequently Asked Questions.
