Volunteering
Be one of the 7,000 area volunteers who show their commitment to improving our community by participating in Servathon. On April 23 – 24, volunteers will engage in service at nonprofits and schools providing them with critical services that will uplift and empower our region. Similar to a walkathon or rideathon, Servathon also raises money to help Greater DC Cares continue to provide volunteer services to our region’s nonprofits and schools through out the year.
You can participate in several ways:
- Sign up on your own as an individual volunteer
- Form or join a team of family, friends, work colleagues, alumni, sorority or fraternity members, people of faith, etc.
- Become a Team Captain and help lead other volunteers
- Have your company sponsor the event
There is a $25 registration fee for each volunteer that helps share program costs (supplies, t-shirts, trash bags water) for the day. We also ask each volunteer to raise $100. It’s not mandatory but we greatly appreciate your help! Learn more about the easy-to-use resources we will provide to help!
Volunteer Registration is open now! But come back and visit this site in early April to select a specific volunteer project.
After we finish our work, we invite all volunteers to join us to celebrate National Volunteer Week and the great accomplishments from the day at our Come As You Are After Party where we will provide free food, beverages and announce prizes for this year’s top fundraisers! Location TBA.
All volunteers are welcome! It’s our gift to you for helping to make a powerful impact on our community. Mud- and paint-splattered clothes welcome!
NOTE: YOU MUST BRING A PHOTO ID FOR ENTRY!
