Volunteer Leaders
Help plan and run Servathon by becoming a Project Manager or Project Leader!
Servathon 2010 will engage over 7,000 volunteers in direct service to schools and nonprofits in MD, DC, and VA .
Your help is crucial to the success of our 100+ projects at the largest Servathon ever! Project Managers and Project Leaders serve as the lead volunteers at project sites and are the “go-to” volunteers at the event.
Project Managers: These volunteers will have ownership over an entire project site! They manage all of the volunteer projects and Project Leaders at a particular location. They will also be responsible for working with Greater DC Cares staff to oversee the development and implementation of all the activities at their assigned site. If you have strong leadership skills and a passion for service, this may be for you!
Project Leaders: These volunteers will be in charge of overseeing specific activities at each site. Project Leaders report to the Project Manager and oversee volunteers at the event. If you are responsible, detail-oriented, and organized, then this could be a great way to get more involved in the biggest day of service in the DC region every year!
All new volunteer leaders will need to attend a training on March 13 10 a.m -1:3o pm where they’ll learn the skills they needed to lead projects (any Servathon 2008 or 2009 PM/PL’s are exempt from this training.) See below for a specific job descriptions.
